Please join us for what we expect to be a momentous occasion. That is, the final vote necessary to repeal the Lake Forest ordinance. Many other cities are watching this city as it rights the wrong it committed when it passed the ordinance a year ago. Where Lake Forest goes there go another 14 cities in Orange County? That is our hope.
I commend Lake Forest for doing the RIGHT THING>
The ordinance has been officially repealed! Vote 3-2
Well, we were there last night and I must tell you … I couldn’t tell which way they were going to vote, the first two were “no”, not to the repeal the ordinace (BTW, they were the two ‘new’ incoming council members). But … in the end the city did the right thing. The third vote was cast by the outgoing Mayor of Lake Forest. Mayor McCullough is a woman who is not afraid of doing the right thing and standing up for what she believes in. She was full of passion in her ‘closing’ argument for making the decision she did, which followed two additional “yes” votes to repeal the ordinance. Thank you John Doe for starting the ball rolling …
